The Kids Programs

All includes:dive rental gear, course materials, books, instructor, classroom sessions, PADI certification card, five days of diving with unlimited shore diving + family day dive at Klein Bonaire, hats, T-shirts, tote bags, marine arts & crafts, tubing, photography, pizza movie night, slack line, donkey park, sunset cruise, slide shows, marine lectures and, conservation speaker. That’s all in, addition to the following:

Sassy

Ages 4-7: This is such a fantastic program in Bonaire. The little ones need a lot of sunblock as they get suited up in mini sets of snorkel gear as they learn all about the ocean and its critters. It includes a treasure hunt, the chance to feed and ride a donkey to the donkey sanctuary, painting fun and lots of pool and ocean time.

8:30 AM – 2:30 PM, 3 Meals Daily – Ages 4 – 7: Program includes Kids Sea Camp activities for 6 days, island tour, donkey park, tubing, treasure hunt, Pizza movie night, sunset cruise, 3 meals daily, snacks, juices, arts and crafts, guided snorkeling and SASY (Supplied Air Snorkeling for Youth). All rental equipment for the week included.

Seals

PADI Seal Team Program: Ages 8 and up: This program gives kids who are 8 years old or older a sample of what it’s like to be a diver. Kids must be 8 years of age before the program starts. This is the first stage of diving and kids will truly enjoy the fun. There is no test! Kids will do some basic skills, and learn how to use scuba gear through some fun activities called Aqua Missions. In Bonaire, Seal Team kids also get to do a salt water dive at the Buddy Dock among schools of fish and log a real dive. There are five missions to be completed, along with a crew pack and certification that is provided. Painting, a treasure hunt, and pizza & movie night are also apart of this great program in Bonaire.

8:30 AM – 2:30 PM, 3 Meals Daily – Ages 8 – 10: Program includes Kids Sea Camp activities, 6 days SEAL team instruction learning through Aquamissions 1-5. all rental dive equipment and course materials included for the week. Confined dives as well as ocean dives, sunset cruise, treasure hunt, graduation certificate, certification card, ocean dives, dive with parents, t-shirts, hat, tote bag, photo mission, night snorkel and more.

JOW

PADI Jr. Open Water Program: Kids must be age 10 prior to the start of course: PADI E-learning programs: Kids are on vacation, so now they don’t have to worry about reading a 250-page book or taking a written exam. You can go to www.PADI.com and click on  Elearning and Jr. Open Water and select on Kids Sea Camp as your store, Columbia, SC. We will receive your quizzes and test and be available to assist you as you learn online.

When kids arrive in Bonaire, they will complete their five confined water and four open water dives, as well as a review. Then you get to enjoy your new world as a PADI certified diver in beautiful Bonaire. Moms and dads will have plenty of time to dive with kids. This group will start with a quick review, then five pool dives, four open water dives and a graduation dive with parents by Wednesday. Once certified, they can enjoy jumping off the dock with mom and dad and will dive with the other certified kids with a maximum depth profile of 40 feet.

8:30 AM – 2:30 PM, 3 Meals Daily – Ages 10-14 will learn to dive this week. This group of kids will do gain Junior PADI Open Water certification.  Kids and adults 15 and older can gain their PADI Open Water certification. both courses which include: a quick review, 5 pool dives, and 4 open water dives plus skill set sessions to gain their PADI Certification. The course also includes a graduation on Family Day. All rental equipment for the week is included. For adults age 18 and up, please contact us for adult pricing.  The difference in these two programs is the age of the student and the depth that they are certified to at the completion of their course. We highly recommend that anyone wanting to get certified during their vacation please take the PADI E: learning course.  This allows students to come with their final exam already done, and classroom hours already completed as well. Call us if you have questions. E learning is not included.

Adventure

PADI Adventure Diver Program: Ages 10-11: Private group, PADI certification, boat dive, photo dive, navigation dive, buoyancy dive, fish ID, night snorkel, reef dive, coral restoration dive, treasure hunt dive, and family dive.

AOW

PADI AOW & Jr. AOW Program: Ages 12 and up: Private group, PADI certification, boat dive, photo dive, navigation dive, buoyancy dive, deep dive. night dive, reef dive, coral restoration dive, treasure hunt dive, and family dive.

Rescue

PADI Rescue Diver – 8:30 AM – 2:30 PM, 3 Meals Daily – Ages 12+, Kids or adults who have their Advanced Open water certification, Adventure certification with navigation dive included,  and their EFR/ First Aid certification as well as PADI E: learning completed prior to arrival.  Call and speak to Margo for more information.

Rescue Q&A

What does Rescue diver E: learning cover? 
PADI Rescue Diver Course Online content is broken down into 5 easy-to-learn sections after an introduction. The course covers a  range of topics including, The Psychology of Rescue, Recognizing Diver Stress, Accident Management, Assisting Responsive and Unresponsive Divers at the Surface and Underwater, Equipment Problems, Oxygen Delivery Systems, Missing Diver Procedures, Responding to Diver Emergencies and Inwater Rescue Breathing.

Who can benefit from completing the course? Kids age 12 and up Jr. rescue and adults age 15 and up Rescue:
The course is designed for anyone who wants to learn how to prevent, and if necessary, manage dive emergencies. The course broadens a diver’s awareness and improves their skills and confidence. Most certified PADI Rescue Divers look back on their rescue training as one of the most challenging – sometimes demanding – and therefore most rewarding courses they’ve taken. The subject is serious but the training is fun.

What are the PADI Rescue Diver Course pre requisites?
You need to be at least 12 years old, certified to beyond entry-level with proof of underwater navigation training, such as PADI Adventure Diver with the Underwater Navigation Adventure Dive completed, and be fit for diving to be certified as a PADI Rescue Diver. Any diver with the prerequisite training who is at least 12 years old may enroll in the PADI eLearning Rescue Diver online program.

How does it work?
After enrolling, PADI’s eLearning® system presents you with interactive presentations that include videos, audio, graphics, and reading. Short quizzes let you check understanding of the presented information before moving on. This lets you go through the program efficiently and at your own pace. End-of-section exams verify your mastery of the entire topic and are automatically scored. (E: learning costs are not included)

What else is required to complete the course?
After completing the online portion of the PADI Rescue Diver Course you’ll attend Kids Sea Camp Bonaire to complete your training. You’ll take a short eLearning Quick Review to confirm your understanding of safety-related material from the course. Then, you’ll complete the in water training portion of the course. Your Buddy Dive instructor will have you complete ten rescue exercises in open water, either with or without initial skills practice in confined water. Finally, you participate in two Rescue Diver Scenarios in open water.

How long do you have to complete the eLearning course?
The eLearning course will be available for one year from the time of course registration.

What is the minimum amount of time it will take to complete this eLearning program?
The PADI Rescue Diver Course online will take approximately 10 – 12 hours to complete.

Adult package

Includes 6 dive days of boat dives or snorkeling for non-divers and 1-night dive or night snorkel for non-divers. tanks, weights and belts, unlimited shore diving, 3 meals daily, use of resort’s water sports equipment, round-trip airport transfers, as well as all that is mentioned above. Free Nitrox for the week! Free Nitrox certification included (You must have PADI E: learning completed before arrival. E: learning is not included.)
