Me too

We took our first Kids Sea Camp trip in August to Buddy Dive Bonaire. My 10.5 yr old son fell in love with scuba diving and earned his PADI Jr. Open Water certification, under the wonderful guidance of Buddy Dive instructors, vetted and personally chosen by Margo. We are looking forward to our next trip, many more after that. Margo Peyton is wonderful to work with!! My son talks about our Kids Sea Camp family dive trip fondly and all the new friends he made, and the dives we did...[ read more ]

Our first Liveaboard dive trip

I called and tel Tom about our very first liveaboard diving trip with Kids Sea Camp in Socorro, and he asked me to put down some words. So here they are: by Jennifer Yee 2019 Bottom line, this trip was amazing! We were a little apprehensive and nervous as you can imagine, but as usual, the staff that Margo and Tom sent for the trip was top notch. Josh Comay(Adventure travel guide and PADI Instructor with KSC) ran this family dive vacation with great confidence and was extremely accommodating to...[ read more ]

Getting your kids certified

Lots of friends have asked me about getting their kids certified to dive, especially as kids are growing older and as they hear about our dive trips and adventures. Obviously, we are huge proponents! Ben and I always wax long on our friends Margo Peyton and Tom Peyton at Kids Sea Camp and what an amazing job they do with family dive trips and training kids to scuba dive. Inevitably, people ask me about taking a course at a local dive shop and then the family going on a trip somewhere. While some do that, it's...[ read more ]

Screws & Hammers in the Galapagos

A few screws and a heap of hammers diving after spinal surgery in the Galapagos The Galapagos - my parents had been talking about diving in the Galapagos since before I was born. As a child it was the "holy grail". I always heard "When you are old enough, we will go as a family to Galapagos." The plan was to go with Kids Sea Camp in the summer of 2018, when both myself and my sister (ages 16 & 15) would be old enough to enjoy the challenge of the...[ read more ]

Go For It at Kids Sea Camp

Go For It in the Philippines by Betsy Royal with Carolyn Pascal After a few adult beverages at my friend Carolyn's daughter Melissa's wedding, our mutual friend Margo suggested we join her on an upcoming Kids Sea Camp trip to the Philippines. She loved it there, and so would we, she said.  Thrilled to be spending time at a happy celebration with friends, it was one of those offers that I just could not refuse. Seriously, WHY NOT? That is how Carolyn and I proceeded in our conversations. We could think...[ read more ]

Diving in the Cayman Islands

The Cayman with Kids Sea Camp was awesome Melanie (16-year-old): Diving in The Cayman Islands, both Cayman Brac and Little Cayman, gave me the opportunity to experience and explore the unknown. The underwater landscapes and astonishing creatures provided a breathtaking view. One amazing sight that we encountered while diving was an old shipwreck. Within the walls and portholes of the ship inhabited many different organisms using the wreck as protection and shelter. Seeing this wonderful sight taught me that a ship that sinks in a tragedy can create a beautifully sacred...[ read more ]

Moments that last a lifetime in Cayman Brac

Kids Sea Camp making a lifetime of memories in a Cayman Brac Cayman Brac Reef Resort 2018: Sharing moments of dazzling Caribbean sunsets, salty sea breezes and night skies brimming with stars bring me a nostalgia found only in the best of memories.  These memories are of my first Kids Sea Camp adventure spent in Cayman Brac.  Every day was spent to its fullest, and every moment was full of friendship, adventure, and peace of mind.  The underwater world is filled with silence, mystery, and grace.  Throughout my first ocean dives, I found...[ read more ]

Perfection is easily desired but rarely achieved on vacation

Palau KSC a perfect vacation for kids and adults Dear Margo, I rarely write letters of recommendation, I hate the constant solicitation from Amazon to write reviews, but it is with great pleasure that I write this note to you. First, thank you for sharing your wonderful husband with us here in Palau, especially at this time. He is warm and generous and made our first days at Palau Kid’s Sea Camp a very pleasant affair. I have rarely seen so many people work so hard to make a vacation work well for...[ read more ]
