Here’s the link to the new, easy way to start the PADI certification process. Don’t worry. You must still get in the water and blow some bubbles with a PADI Pro. The KSC is linked to PADI e-learning.

How It Works

1. Purchase your course: You can buy eLearning directly from the PADI website or through a specific dive shop.
2. Interactive Learning: You’ll work through modules that include videos, text, and 3D diagrams.
3. Knowledge Checks: At the end of each section, you’ll complete short quizzes and a final exam to ensure you’ve understood the safety concepts.
4. Connect with a Shop: When you purchase the course, you’ll link it to a PADI Dive Center where you’ll eventually do your in-water training.
5. Hit the Water: Once finished, bring your “eRecord” to your instructor to begin the pool and open-water sessions.

Quick Facts for 2026

• Offline Access: If you’re traveling, you can download course sections via the PADI Training App to study without an internet connection.
• Validity: Once you complete the online portion, your eRecord is valid for 12 months, giving you plenty of time to schedule your practical training.

Hi, I’m Margo Peyton, owner of Kids Sea Camp and a PADI instructor who has spent decades inspiring kids and families to explore the ocean together. One of the things I love most is watching children’s eyes light up as they discover the underwater world and realize they can keep learning and growing in this amazing sport.
That’s why I’m so passionate about PADI e-learning. It’s one of my favorite ways to serve our diving families, keep kids excited, and create wonderful opportunities for everyone.
Kids naturally love to learn new things and progress in stages. Continuing education keeps them engaged and dreaming big. With e-learning, they can snuggle up on a cold or dreary day, soaking up fascinating ocean knowledge while imagining their next sunny adventure. They get so excited — and it shows!
When students arrive for training with their e-learning and exam already completed, the stress is gone. No long classroom sessions on beautiful days. Everyone can focus on the fun part — being in the water together. E-learning is flexible, thorough, and kind to busy family schedules. Many core courses offer permanent access, while others last 12 months, so kids (and parents) can learn at their own perfect pace.
I see families bonding in the most beautiful ways. Parents often join their kids for Advanced Open Water, Rescue Diver, or Enriched Air (Nitrox) so they can dive and explore together. Whole families traveling with us to places like the Galapagos, Philippines, or Indonesia love getting certified as a group for more bottom time and shared memories. Many of our favorite destinations even offer free Nitrox, making it even sweeter.
