Schedule

Solitude One Tubbataha to Cebu 2026
(10 Days, 9 Nights)

Set sail on a rare 10-day, 9-night voyage aboard Solitude One from Tubbataha to Cebu. This crossing bridges two of the Philippines’ most captivating dive regions—beginning in the UNESCO-protected Tubbataha Reefs and journeying through the remote southern Visayas. From dramatic walls teeming with life to hidden sites known only to seasoned explorers, each dive reveals a new layer of the archipelago’s underwater story. With an attentive crew, experienced dive guides, and moments of serenity between the currents, this is more than a dive trip—it’s an expedition across some of the richest seas on Earth.

Embark on a rare 10-day diving expedition with Solitude One, crossing from Puerto Princesa to Cebu. This journey blends protected marine sanctuaries, untouched reefs, muck dives, and pelagic encounters—revealing the Philippines’ incredible underwater diversity.

Day 1: Puerto Princesa – Embarkation (No Diving)

Board Solitude One in the afternoon at Puerto Princesa Harbour. After a warm welcome, orientation, and registration, the vessel sets sail at sunset towards the UNESCO-listed Tubbataha Reefs.

Days 2–4: Tubbataha Reefs National Park (3–4 Dives/Day)

Spend three days immersed in the heart of the Coral Triangle. Expect dramatic drop-offs, abundant reef life, schooling fish, turtles, and regular sightings of reef and pelagic sharks. All dives here are daylight drift dives due to strong currents.

Day 5: Cagayancillo (3–4 Dives)

Venture off the beaten path to this secluded reef system rarely visited outside of transition crossings. Healthy coral and rich marine life await.

Days 6–7: Dauin & Balicasag

Two days of contrasting diving—black sand muck dives in Dauin offer rare critters and macro life, while Balicasag delivers classic coral walls and schooling fish action.

Day 8: Southern Leyte (3–4 Dives)

Explore this remote region known for both macro subjects and pelagics amid vibrant, healthy reefs—often far from the crowds.

Day 9: Monad & Kimud Shoals (2–3 Dives)

Rise early for a chance to witness thresher sharks at cleaning stations before the day boats arrive. This final day of diving ends with ample surface interval before flying.

Day 10: Cebu City – Disembarkation (No Diving)

Wake up in Cebu City and bid farewell to your Solitude One crew. Disembarkation is between 8:00 and 11:00 AM, with transfers available to Mactan-Cebu International Airport.

M/Y Gypsy Liveaboard

M/Y Gypsy, Family Dive Adventures, Scuba Diving

M/Y Gypsy is probably one of the most unique vessels in the private yachting and diving industry. This 80 ft/24.3 m-long vessel sleeps 8 people comfortably and its layout is meticulously designed with comfort and space for our guests in mind.

It was completely refitted in 2021 and the changes made to her only improved the vessel’s superbness. The refit and redesign were done by Dutch boatbuilder, Frank van der Linde, together with interior designer, Simone Schuil. The two of them turned the vessel into the ultimate exploration platform. It has all the comfort needed for long trips and is designed to make you feel at home as soon as you set foot on board.

Apart from being luxurious and having one of the sexiest lines a boat can wish for, M/Y Gypsy is also a very spacious vessel, with over 250 m2 in her three decks. It has a spacious flybridge, chill’n relax areas on the bow and stern, and a massive salon with a serene dining area.

With 4 cabins consisting of 1 owner’s suite, 1 master bedroom and 2 smaller cabins with two single beds each, the vessel allows up to 8 guests to sleep and live comfortably, which is the perfect group size for you and your family, friends or your dive club/shop. “We wanted to make something unique, a Liveaboard with only 8 guests without sacrifing space and comfort” – Chris

“I don’t want guests to end our trips as a customer, but as a friend” – Finn

Your Teacher

Laura is passionate about sharing the gift of yoga and believes it can be practiced by everyone regardless of ability, to create a more peaceful and harmonious world within, and around us. Inspired by nature and her love for the ocean, she combines these with her yoga knowledge to develop a deeper sense of well being, connectedness and understanding. Her kind and non-judgmental approach makes people feel relaxed and comfortable. After 10 years of establishing her own practice, in 2014 Laura completed her teacher training at the Himalayan Iyengar Yoga Centre in India with Master Sharat Arora, and is also a certified Fly High Yoga Teacher, Reiki Master and Scuba Diving Instructor.

Detox

Yoga alone is amazing for improving the digestive system and for cleansing the organs but to get the maximum benefit (as well as making your practice easier and more enjoyable) we recommend avoiding heavy food and including lots of fresh and natural ingredients for an instant detox and boost.

Vegan and raw food are perfect for helping the body expel all of those additives and toxins that we are exposed to on a daily basis, whether through the food that we eat, the products that we put on our skin, or even the air that we breathe. We can prepare a fresh and nutritious cleansing menu that works for you. Detox water will be available throughout the day.

We will also provide you with a goodie bag of local natural products such as coconut oil, baking soda and citronella repellent that you can use if you want to ditch the chemical products for a deeper detox.

Before You Get Here

We have a strong philosophy towards environmentally friendly tourism here at Salaya; we use natural cleaning and hygiene products and a no single use plastic policy where possible. Please be mindful to buy ocean friendly products and avoid chemicals in the products you bring.

You will be given a short questionnaire after booking to let us know of any medical conditions, injuries, medications, allergies and yoga history etc. so we can tailor the retreat to your needs and safety – but please feel free to ask if you have concerns related to any of these before then.

We recommend no alcohol or smoking during the retreat, better to quit these a few weeks before you get here to avoid withdrawal symptoms. Likewise with caffeine if you drink a lot this can interfere with your meditation and relaxation.

Bring comfortable clothing, ideally made from natural fibres for yoga classes.

Know Before You Go

Destination

Just a 1 hour flight from Manila or Cebu through to Dumaguete, where you will be greeted by Salaya staff for air-conditioned transfer to the best luxury resort on the outskirts of Dauin, in the heart of the Coral Triangle.

Weather

The Philippines has a tropical climate with near constant temperatures of 28°C (82°F), and water temperatures rarely below 28°C (82°F), there’s no bad time to visit. A tropical archipelago, the Philippines has three distinct seasons: The dry season, the low season, and the cool season.

The dry season lasts from March to May, and features some of the lowest rainfall of the year. Whether you like hiking, diving or just catching some sun, the Dumaguete coast is beautiful this time of year. The low season lasts from June to November, and is a wonderful time to visit if you want to avoid the crowds. The cool dry season typically lasts from December to February, and while the islands are in full holiday celebration, our corner of the world stays quite with less humidity and pleasant temperatures.

At 50, Dr. Alexander Mustard MBE is a UK photographer who has been recognized as one of the world’s leading underwater photographers for the past 25 years.
