HOW TO GET FROM NADI TO SAVUSAVU AIRPORT
Fiji Link, Fiji’s domestic airline and subsidiary of Fiji Airways. [fijiairways.com] and the local airline Island Hoppers [islandhoppers.com] have daily 1-hour flights between Nadi and Savusavu. Pacific Island Seaplanes [pacificislandair.com] has a private charter service from Nadi direct to the end of the jetty at the resort.
HOW TO GET FROM SAVUSAVU AIRPORT TO THE RESORT
The resort provides complimentary transfers between Savusavu Airport and the resort in our air-conditioned vehicles. Our driver will be waiting for you to take you on the shoreline drive to the resort in about 20 minutes.
WE HAVE A LAYOVER IN NADI. WHAT HOTELS ARE AVAILABLE?
If your layover is a few hours you may wish to stay at one of the hotels close to Nadi Airport such as the Raffles Gateway Hotel or Novotel Airport Hotel. If your layover is longer or overnight the Sofitel and Hilton are located in Denarau, about 20 minutes by taxi from Nadi Airport.
WHAT ARE CHECK-IN AND CHECK-OUT TIMES?
Check-in time is after 2:00 pm and Check-out time is by 11:00 am. The resort will do everything possible to accommodate you if you arrive before 2:00 pm. If a bure is not available for early check-in, your luggage can be stored in the meantime until your bure is available. You will be able to enjoy breakfast or lunch while you wait, at no extra charge.
WEATHER
You can expect warm temperatures between 24-30 °C (75-85 °F) with some humidity during the day and 21-26° C (70-80 °F) at night. The resort is located on a point and receives cool ocean breezes most of the year. In your bure, you will find wall-to-wall louvered windows that allow you to take advantage of these balmy breezes. Fiji is located in the tropics, so there is the possibility of occasional short rain showers. Because Fiji is close to the equator there is little variation in the seasons, although the “summer” months of December through March are known to have slightly more rain and humidity.
ATTIRE
Guests find casual resort attire the most appropriate. If you take the excursion to the local native village, it is customary for men and women to cover their shoulders and also the legs to below the knee, and to remove hats.
WHAT SHOULD WE BRING?
Tropical strength sunscreen. Mosquito repellant. Reef-walkers or other shoes suitable for walking along the coral sand beach.
COMMUNICATION AT THE RESORT
There are no phones in the bures, however, phones are available at Reception. In-coming phone messages are immediately hand-delivered to the guest’s bure. WiFi is available around the resort at no charge. Most mobile phone services will work at the resort. Check with your service provider regarding coverage

DO WE NEED VACCINATIONS?
No vaccinations are required to travel to Fiji.
WHAT DOCUMENTS WILL WE NEED TO ENTER FIJI?
For passport holders of the following countries – Australia, China, France, Italy, Japan, New Zealand, Singapore, Switzerland, UK, and the USA, your passport must be valid for at least 6 months beyond your departure date. An entry visa is granted upon your arrival at Nadi International Airport. For passport holders of other countries, please check with your local Fijian Consulate.
PASSPORTS & DOCUMENTATION:
All travelers must have a current passport, adequate funds to support themselves, and a return airline ticket to travel out of the USA. Travelers must have a passport that is valid for 6 months from the date of entry to any foreign country.
It is the travelers’ responsibility to ensure they have the proper documentation to travel into each country on his or her itinerary as well as for re-entry and return to their country. Please check with the appropriate consulate as well as your chosen airline carrier to ensure you have the proper documentation. Always check your passport and visa requirements. US citizens may go to the US Department of State website at www.travel.state.gov for more information. The website also has information for consulates by country to assist with requirements.
There are special requirements for children leaving the US and many countries have adopted special requirements for the protection of children. If you are traveling with a child that is not your own, a single parent with a child, a child with a different last name, or traveling without both natural parents of the child, you will require documentation proving your right to travel with children. Since regulations vary by country, contact your consulate or embassy of your country and visit the immigration site of the country you are traveling to for the requirements. Kids Sea Camp Reservation Office and staff will not assume responsibility for passengers not having the correct documentation.
CURRENCY
Most places in Fiji accept major credit cards. (VISA, MasterCard, American Express). It is a good idea to have some Fijian money on hand. You can obtain Fiji Dollars at Nadi International Airport.
IS THERE TIPPING AT THE RESORT?
There is no tipping in Fiji. Guests are certainly welcome to contribute to the Employee Christmas Fund if they wish.
