April 3rd to 10th, 2021

Additional week at Thatch Caye Resort: April 10th to 17th

August 8th to 15th, 2021

Welcome to your next best family dive vacation at The Placencia Resort in Belize! In 2021 we are heading to southern Belize, away from the hustle and bustle of the Belizean tourist centers. Kids Sea Camp is escaping to the peace and tranquility of the small town of  Placencia. The guests will dive the second largest barrier reef in the world, you can expect healthy reefs with lots of marine life on every dive. Belize Underwater is one of just a few PADI 5-star dive operators in the southern part of the country that caters to dive families with kids

Kids Sea Camp, Family Dive adventures, Family vacationsAlso seen are large schools of fish, eagles rays, and nurse sharks. For the fisherman, the region has some of the best fly fishing for Bonefish, Tarpon, and Permit in the Caribbean (Check out the Belize fly fishing trip in 2021). The Placencia Resort is ideally situated at the edge of Belize, on the Caribbean Sea, in the heart of the 30 minutes north of the vibrant village of Placencia. Placencia is known for its annual lobster festival in June and the longest sidewalk, full of shops and restaurants, in all of the countries. If you want an authentic experience in the Belize family resort environment, welcome home.

Margo and Tom loved the Belizean culture and hospitality. The town of Placencia has 1,500 residents year-round,  the pace is as slow and easy as a Sunday morning. It is a vacationer dream come true with a beautiful beachfront property, the largest pool in Placencia, multiple restaurants on the property and around the local area, and the warm Belizean smiles.

It really is all about: Eat, sleep and dive and dive some more.

The Placencia Resort is the ideal outpost to explore the Belize Barrier Reef, go fly fishing on the saltwater flats, climb ancient Maya cities, canoe, or kayak on Belize’s Jungle Rivers, go bird watching on rainforest adventures, or just relax in a hammock on the beach!

Open to US travelers on Oct. 1, 2020 (Must have a PCR COVID-19 test within 72 hrs of arrival) and use The Belize Travel Health App. The app is available in the App Store.

Diving for all levels of experience or age!

Belize Underwater is a 5-star PADI dive shop. During the Kids Sea Camp week, KSC will be adding our team of PADI Pros to the PADI Pro team at Belize Underwater to provide you a safe, fun and adventure filled scuba vacation for your whole family. You will be diving in the largest barrier reef in the Caribbean and the second largest in the world!  The Belize Barrier Reef offers all levels of diving and snorkeling, from shallow water Cayes to the Great Blue Hole.

We have created this custom family diving expedition with private boats, and PADI Pro dive team just for this Kids Sea Camp event. The dive staff is highly experienced and kid-friendly.  Kids Sea Camp staff is special needs friendly as well. Belize Underwater's PADI certified staff will take you to the Southern Barrier Reef, and the Belize atolls.  Dive Ranguana Caye, Glover’s Reef Atoll, the Elbow and Lighthouse Reef Atoll.

Although spearfishing in the protected areas is not permitted, divers do have the option to add spear-fishing lionfish to any dive! These invasive lionfish are hazardous to our reef, and you'll be helping the Belize Barrier Reef by catching them. We provide tridents for divers who want to spear-fish lionfish.

Rent your gear from our Belize Underwater or bring your own - our guides will set up everything, you just hop on the boat and go!  During Kids Sea Camp weeks in Belize, we do offer other PADI courses for adults and young adults.  Please give Margo or Olivia 803-4192556 a call to discuss any continuing dive education courses.
